Div. 2 Match

This was my first match of the 2001 season in Division 2 for the season and would be a good indicator of the level of players that I would face over the next few months.

White makes all the play and Black has no answer to it. There wasn't a key blunder by Black in this match, just an overall lack of cohesive play. This was certainly not the start I wanted in Division 2.

Black allows whites f pawn to advance far too far in the early stages and ends up committing a lot of material to holding that position without making any attacking play, allowing White to develop and smother Black.
